Oneota has very little of its own, and the honest answer is that it borrows from three directions.
Five minutes west, the Spirit Valley business district carries the everyday west-side restaurants along its main street, and it is where most residents actually go without thinking about it.
Seven to eight minutes northeast is the Lincoln Park Craft District, which is the real draw and the reason this neighborhood eats better than its price suggests: Duluth Grill for scratch cooking with gardens on the property, OMC Smokehouse for barbecue with a patio, Bent Paddle Brewing and Ursa Minor for taprooms, and Duluth Cider. For a neighborhood at this price point, having that eight minutes away is unusual.
Ten minutes across the Bong Bridge is Superior, which adds a whole second city's worth of options and is a genuinely common Friday-night choice from this address.
Downtown Duluth and Canal Park are about twelve minutes for the full range. What Oneota does not have is anything you can walk to.
