The district's central-corridor boundaries run close to this address at every level, and published maps are ambiguous exactly here. Historically the Lake Avenue line has separated the Denfeld and Duluth East attendance areas, and Canal Park sits essentially on it. Myers-Wilkins Elementary at 1027 North 8th Avenue East, enrolling roughly 329 students in prekindergarten through grade 5 (NCES Common Core of Data, accessed 2026-08-13), is the nearest central-corridor elementary, but treat that as a starting point for a conversation with enrollment services, not as an assignment.
Practically, this matters less here than in most neighborhoods, because Canal Park houses very few school-age children and no school is within walking distance in any direction that does not involve climbing the hill. A family choosing this district is choosing to drive to school, and should confirm the specific route and assignment before making an offer.
Private options are within reach: Marshall School on Rice Lake Road is about fifteen minutes up the hill, and Stella Maris Academy operates campuses east and west of downtown.
