This is the most important section on this page, and the honest answer is that Duluth Heights does not have a settled school assignment at the neighborhood level.
The neighborhood sits near the boundary between ISD 709's two middle schools, Lincoln Park and Ordean East, and near the boundary between its two high schools, Denfeld and Duluth East. An address in Duluth Heights may feed the west-side pathway or the east-side pathway, and the two lead to schools on opposite sides of the city with different sizes and different course catalogs. Denfeld enrolls roughly 951 students and Duluth East roughly 1,495 (NCES Common Core of Data, 2024-2025, accessed 2026-08-13).
The elementary assignment is likewise unresolved in the research run for this page. Piedmont Elementary serves the above-the-hill west side, and the east-side elementaries serve the Kenwood direction, but where the line falls through the Heights was not established.
