The large Lutheran congregation at 1100 East Superior Street, at the foot of the neighborhood. Its summer services move down to the Leif Erikson Park bandshell, which is about as East Hillside a detail as exists.

Peace United Church of Christ

The neighborhood's own United Church of Christ congregation, at 1111 North 11th Avenue East in the middle of East Hillside.

At 219 North 6th Avenue East, right on the boundary between the two Hillsides and walkable from the western blocks.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church

At 1710 East Superior Street just beyond the neighborhood's eastern edge, and one of the finest church buildings in the city.

Gothic Revival, built 1912 to 1914 to a design by Cram, Goodhue and Ferguson of New York.

Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary
Roman Catholic (Diocese of Duluth) · 1923

The diocesan seat at 2801 East 4th Street, about eight minutes east along the cross-slope route. Locally it is usually called Holy Rosary Cathedral.

Italianate stone cathedral completed 1957.
