The gap in Lincoln Park's daily life is groceries. There is no full-service supermarket in the neighborhood, so the weekly shop means driving two to three miles west into West Duluth, where the co-op and Super One options sit, or east toward downtown.
Everything else is manageable. Pharmacy and hardware are in the West Duluth and Spirit Valley commercial strip, about ten minutes. Gas is on Superior Street and Piedmont Avenue. Downtown, six minutes east, covers banking, the main library branch, and professional services.
For medical, both Essentia Health and St. Luke's are downtown-adjacent and roughly eight minutes away, which is good access by any standard.
The neighborhood's own commercial core is worth understanding correctly: it is a destination district rather than a service district. It has four places to drink and several to eat, and it does not have a supermarket, a big pharmacy, or a hardware store. That is a genuine tradeoff and a reasonable one at this price, but it should not surprise anyone on move-in day.

Where you shop and eat out
The neighborhood's rebuilt commercial core, concentrated in the two blocks between 18th and 20th Avenue West: breweries, cideries, barbecue, bakery, and outdoor gear manufacturing in renovated brick buildings.
The parallel industrial and production street, home to Bent Paddle and other makers.

West along Superior Street, similar affordability with more single-family stock and the high school.
