Daily life in Central Park runs on a short drive rather than a walk, but the drives are genuinely short and that changes the calculation.
The Belknap Street corridor along the southern edge covers grocery, pharmacy, and most routine retail within about a mile, and it runs past the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus. Downtown, five minutes west, handles banking, the post office, the Superior Public Library, and the Douglas County and city offices, which matters more than usual in the first month after a cross-state move: Wisconsin driver's license, vehicle registration, and voter registration all get sorted there.
Medical care splits between Essentia Health's Superior facilities and the two large Duluth hospital systems fifteen minutes over the bridge, so routine care is local and specialist care generally means crossing the harbor. Big-box retail is available in Superior, with the Miller Hill corridor about eighteen minutes away for more.
The cross-border shopping quirks apply here as they do citywide. Minnesota exempts clothing and groceries from sales tax while Wisconsin taxes clothing at 5% plus local, so clothing runs tend to go to Duluth, and fuel and alcohol pricing moves traffic the other way at various times. Neither decides where to live, but both show up in how a Superior household plans a Saturday.

This is one of the better-served residential neighborhoods in the Twin Ports for daily life, largely because Superior is compact and flat.
