The duplex share of 8.8% is the highest in Superior, and a good deal of that is East End stock, older houses converted into upper and lower units over the last century. For a buyer that is a real opportunity: this is one of the few parts of the Twin Ports where an owner-occupied duplex is a realistic first purchase.
Read those figures with the caution on this page, though. The Census does not draw a boundary around the East End; the tract also takes in Itasca, Allouez, and the dock ground between them, so this is one combined east-Superior profile rather than the neighborhood on its own.
