Hermantown reads as a quiet, low-traffic residential city with almost no through traffic in the subdivisions, streetlights on the main roads and often not on the section-line roads, and activity concentrated at the school campus, the arena, and the ball fields.
For anything beyond feel, use published data rather than impressions. Hermantown is served by its own police department, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension publishes uniform crime reporting data by agency, which is the correct starting point for current figures rather than a commercial "safety score."
