About Earth Rider Brewery
Earth Rider is Superior's flagship brewery, brewing at 1617 North 3rd Street with cold, clear Lake Superior water (Earth Rider Brewery, accessed 2026-08-13).
The operation spans a block: the production brewery, an outdoor festival grounds, and the Cedar Lounge taproom a block west across the grounds, with parking accessible from North Tower Avenue.
It is the clearest single sign of Superior's recent shift. For most of its history the Wisconsin side was where Duluth people went for cheap beer and cheap burgers. Earth Rider, and the century-old Cedar Lounge it revived, turned that stretch of the north end into a destination people cross the bridge for on purpose. Summer brings food trucks and live music to the outdoor grounds.
