Burrito Union Tequila Bar is on East 4th Street, the above-the-hill commercial run that serves the East End and the student blocks below the College of St. Scholastica and the university.
A name note, since older lists and map pins still say otherwise: the business now trades as Burrito Union Tequila Bar, and the old burritounion.com redirects to the new site, which is what confirms it is a rename rather than a different place.
East 4th Street is easy to miss in any list of Duluth's food, and it should not be: between this, Positively 3rd Street Bakery one street down, and the small businesses along it, this is a genuinely walkable everyday strip for a large residential area. That is what the East End's price premium is partly buying, and it is worth walking before you decide the neighborhood is only its housing stock.
It runs 11am to 10pm on weekdays and opens at 10am at weekends with a breakfast service until 2pm. Note that the kitchen stops at 9pm even though the bar runs an hour later, which is the detail most worth knowing before a late arrival. Happy hour is Sunday through Thursday, 3pm to 6pm, taking two dollars off appetizers, margaritas and palomas and a dollar off pints and rail drinks.
