About Wade Stadium

Wade Stadium is West Duluth's ballpark, a brick municipal stadium that has carried baseball in this part of the city for generations and is now home to the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League. On a summer evening it is one of the more genuinely local things to do in Duluth, and it is a short walk or a very short drive from the Denfeld and Spirit Valley residential streets.

The building has needed work, and it is getting it. The City of Duluth has been funding improvements through its Athletic Venue Reinvestment Initiative, focused on structural integrity, halting water infiltration, and safety (City of Duluth, accessed 2026-08-13). That investment matters to the neighborhoods around it, because a functioning stadium is one of the anchors that keeps West Duluth's civic infrastructure intact.

For buyers, Wade is a genuine quality-of-life amenity on this side of town: cheap tickets, walkable from several neighborhoods, and busy through the short northern summer.

Good to know: historic brick ballpark, home of the Duluth Huskies, amateur and youth baseball, grandstand.
