Proctor's chamber and visitor organization promotes the businesses on 5th Avenue and the US 2 corridor and maintains the town's visitor information, including the Munger Trail trailhead, Spirit Mountain access, the speedway, and the historical museum.
For a town of about 3,000 with a compact downtown, the chamber's most valuable function is keeping the small commercial core visible against a metro whose retail gravity is entirely on Miller Hill ten minutes away.
