The Lake County Chamber of Commerce serves Two Harbors, Silver Bay, and the surrounding North Shore communities, and its visitor and business directory is the most complete current listing of what is actually open in a county whose economy runs hard in summer and quiet in winter.
For residents, that seasonality is the practical value: restaurant and business hours on the North Shore change substantially between July and February, and the chamber's directory is more current than most third-party listings.
The chamber also maintains hiking and biking information for the county, including the Superior Hiking Trail and Gitchi-Gami State Trail segments.
