About Crank and Dasher (Fitger's Courtyard)
The Fitger's Courtyard shop is Crank and Dasher's seasonal second location, in the courtyard of the old Fitger's brewery complex on East Superior Street, with outdoor seating, a fire and a view down to the lake.
It is worth a separate record from the Lakeside shop because it works differently. Lakeside is a neighborhood ice cream counter used by people who live within a mile of it. This one sits in a converted brewery that now holds a hotel, shops, a brewhouse and a Mexican restaurant, on the Lakewalk between downtown and the East End, and its trade is walkers and visitors.
For a household looking at Endion or the lower East End, the Fitger's complex is the nearest thing to a walkable commercial anchor, and this is part of what makes it one.
The shop is seasonal and closed outside it. Check before you walk down.
Good to know: handcrafted ice cream, outdoor courtyard seating, fire pit, lake view, seasonal.
