Rose Road Fields at 5676 Rose Road holds three softball diamonds, a playground, a half-court basketball surface, accessible walks, and paved parking. The site was revamped in 2019, which is why the accessibility and parking here are noticeably better than at older facilities in the area (City of Hermantown, accessed 2026-08-13).

It is a working athletic park rather than a destination: no trails, no woods, no water. What it does is absorb a large share of Hermantown's adult and youth softball scheduling, which keeps pressure off the diamonds at Fichtner.

For a city of about 10,000, having three separate athletic sites plus a natural area is a meaningful level of parks investment, and Rose Road is the least visible and most used piece of it.
