Lighthouse Point is the historic core of Two Harbors, a public waterfront at Agate Bay holding the 1892 Two Harbors Light Station, the oldest continuously operating lighthouse on Minnesota's North Shore, along with the keeper's buildings, the restored pilot house of the ore freighter Frontenac, and the breakwater.

It is also the best public vantage on a working port. Iron ore has shipped from Agate Bay since 1884, on what were Lake Superior's first ore docks and for a time the largest in the world, and boats still load here. Watching a thousand-foot carrier take on ore from a city park is not an experience many towns can offer.

The point anchors the southwestern end of the Sonju Trail, which runs the shore from here to Burlington Bay. The light station's keeper's house operates as a bed and breakfast, and the grounds and museum are managed by the Lake County Historical Society.
